Hypocricy is saying one thing and doing another, like, for instance, someone saying they're scared of the law and of the police, (and apparently therefore wouldn't wish to go naked in public...), but; will go knickerless shopping in public supermarkets (which might be regarded by many as a health hazard); will flount noise ordinances by mowing the lawn on public holidays (where this is explictly banned); will happily pay speeding fines (for illegaly driving too fast), and so on.
