Nakedness has always been associated with innocence - since civilization started to contemplate it's origins, and man yearned for halcyon days of yore when everything was so much simpler, purer, virginal, naive and innocent. It's a fallacy of course, unless you're prepared to go so far back in time that man (homo sapiens in our case) was incapable of being self-aware. As soon as evolution shook man (or woman) from being a non-sentient mammal to being a sentient (self-aware) creature, we immediately lost innocence to self-interest. Nakedness though, symbolises that lost paradise, and through being naked we can experience a little of the feeling of being naive, in the most innocent sense of the word, again.
