Too many nudist web sites, forums and resources have been censored and disappeared. Given the historical and dictatorial censorship of the likes of Flickr, Ning, Facebook, etc. etc., it behoves the naktiv, including nudist and naturist, community to create it's own naked online presence. The site will need to be hosted properly, and include at least the following freely available facilities:
- web site
- mailing lists
- photo sharing
- groups
- forums
- blogs
- wiki
- ftp and file storage
- rss feeds
- email server
- dating facilities
- several database flavours
- agnostic programming language support
- multiple language support
- positive + negative feedback mechanisms
- administration tools
- anti-spam + captcha tools
- relevant advertising only - if any
- possible integration with INI/INF (club site hosting etc.)
- backup and restore facilities
- other...?
All of the above could support networking with existing "mainstream" environments, such as facebook, picasa, ning, flickr et al, but the naked elements would always need to be expressly separated from those networks to curtail any chance of prurient censorship. Wherever there is a commercial interest there is always the danger of a rightous purge from the loud and conservative corner, hence this move. To finance this website for naked freedom, initially would clearly require investment of capital and labour, some of which could perhaps be returned via advertising revenue and possibly premium services.
