This is the FAQ ( Frequently Asked Questions ) contributions page for all of the projects, and especially the current project. Please read the whole document, as most standard questions should be answered here.

    • Q. How do I upload my images, and/or text, to the server?
    • A. Use the FTP account which will be provided.
    • Q. What if I can't use FTP (for any reason)?
    • A. Simply email your images, one per email, directly to the above address.
    • Q. What size of images do you require?
    • A. Original resolution images wherever possible.
    • Q. Should I crop my images before sending them to you?
    • A. No. It's much better to receive the original, complete photo and to be able to crop it than to have a pre-cropped image which might lose otherwise interesting context. This is a design decision at usage time, our choice and your choice will inevitably differ, and the correct cropping cannot be decided blind, in advance, without reference to context. It's just easier for everyone concerned to simply send the original.
    • Q. What kind of images are you looking for?
    • A. Naturally there are specific projects, (like the WNBR), and non-specific ones too (like Active Nudists). Any images which show naked people being *active*, perhaps with other people, who may be naked or dressed, are interesting. Please browse the site to get a feel for what makes a good Naktiv image, and take a look at each project page for any more specific criteria. Context is everything.
    • Q. What kind of images are you NOT looking for?
    • A. Photos of single naked people standing looking at the camera. No-one is interested in a photo of someone saying "look at me, I'm naked". It's very boring, (for everybody else).
    • Q. How many images can I submit?
    • A. The more the better, really!
    • Q. How much text should I submit?
    • A. Whatever you like, we will use the appropriate snippet, or anecdote, or article, where we can.
    • Q. What credit will I get?
    • A. Authors and photographers will be credited appropriately. In a book with an entry in the photographic credits, or in a relevant footnote and reference listing, and on the website with a link back to the url of your choice.
    • Q. Will I be paid?
    • A. No. For the long answer, please see the no pay policy.
    • Q. Will I get anything from submitting my hard-won material to one of your projects?'
    • A. The satisfaction of helping to promote a naked, environmentally friendly, and active lifestyle, and possibly a little vicarious fame, (or infamy), if you're lucky ;-) See also below.
    • Q. What if you produce a book to sell?
    • A. Contributors will of course receive an exemplar copy, or copies, of any book in which their material is used, proportional to the number of submissions actually used, see below.
    • Q. How many books will I get?
    • A. The simple deal is if we use a photo, you get a free book. The extended rule is that if we use several photos, for every multiple of three (3), you get a free book. This is very easy; the more photos you send in, the more chance you have of getting more books.
