Iguala, México: Naked against Horror

February 4, 2015 in Uncategorized

"We chose a wagon that had light and not have children. A child is not able to understand this message. So I took the camera and when she took off her clothes and stood naked in total silence in front of the 60 people who were there. It was created. A family that was right behind her, understood the idea and made gestures to show their gratitude for our work. The rest were perplexed without making a noise. That was the most difficult time. "

The narrator of this story is Edgar Olguin, a Mexican photographer who devised a provocative way to report the disappearance of the 43 students of Iguala and, in his view, the state complicity.

Hypocrisy at its best. The double standars of Amazon on Nudity

May 10, 2014 in Uncategorized

Every day we find countless examples of how hypocritical our society is.

When we deal with "sensible" matters such as nudity , the hipocrisy goes sky rocket, specially in sexually repressed countries or those where religion is still ruling people's minds.

Let me show you a vivid example. Amazon.co.uk .

Putting aside the ethical considerations when buying from Amazon , with all the well known documented abuses on their own workers , this is one more peek of Amazon's true face. I know, those unethical practices should have put us away from applying to be Associates in the first place, but we're struggling to find a similar site where there's so much available material. That's why we decided to give it a try.

Last week I was about to set up an affiliate account so that I could include some books in NudeInSpain about Bodypainting, nude bodies in Art, Naturism, etc. to add up some contents to the site, so you as visitors would have a wider range of materials about Nudism.

I sent my application and in a matter of seconds I got their answer:

" Hello,
Ive reviewed of your application to become an Amazon Associate, and visited the website where you planned to advertise for Amazon.co.uk.
I noticed that your site contains some graphic sexual images and/or sexually graphic banner advertisements.
Because of this we cant accept your application at this time. As a result of this decision, youll no longer be able to access your Amazon Associates account.
We encourage you to resubmit your application after removing the images and/or advertisements in question.
Thank you for your interest in the Associates Programme. "

Sad, isn't it? Seeing the grammar skills of whoever answered, it's clear this person is just someone applying Amazon's guidelines without even using their own brain to evaluate the websites. Hypocrisy at its best. Calling the content on NudeInSpain "explicit sexual", the same company that makes MILLIONS out of selling "Sex Mad Housewives" kind of books or porn dvds …
… while they have thousands of Nudist customers buying books and material of genuine nude content, just like these we wanted to include in NudeInSpain.com. Just check how many results you get from Amazon by searching for the term "nude".

I am sure our big mistake is being a small site. An application from any kind of site with millions of visitors would have caused an immediate response to say YES, WE WANT YOUR MONEY!!! But you see, NudeInSpain is still small and it's considered sh*t by them.

Now you know what's Amazon.co.uk's view on nudity: If they sell it and make them money, it doesn't matter if it's porn or whatever, it's ok. Other than that, it's unacceptable .

Do you want to make such an organisation richer? We don't.

Nude Beaches with their own Roman Ruins… Only in Spain!

May 7, 2014 in Uncategorized

Where are you going to find Roman ruins beside a breathtaking Nudist Beach? Only in Spain.

Baelo Claudia, right beside Bolonia beach: http://nudeinspain.com/nude-beaches/cadiz-tarifa-bolonia

It is an ancient Roman town. Lying on the shores of the Straits of Gibraltar, the town was originally a fishing village and trade link when it was settled some 2,000 years ago. Although prosperous at the time of Emperor Claudius, it went into a decline hastened by earthquakes and was abandoned by the 6th century.

Nude Beaches in Spain, or The Nudist Scene when travelling abroad

April 20, 2014 in Uncategorized

Every year when the good weather starts to make the nearby cherry trees to bloom, it's time for us to plan our next summer holidays.

We live in a beautiful area, Barcelona, North East of Spain, nice all year weather and lots of beautiful nudist beaches, but sometimes we love to plan a trip abroad. And of course, we don't have swimming suits since years ago, so if we choose a beachy destination, we must always do some research about the nudist scene in the chosen country.

Talking about Europe, the more you go South, the most difficult it is to find accurate information about the social nudity places like nude beaches and such. The Northern countries accepted nudity many years before the Southern countries and the level of association of nudist and naturist people is much more developed. More associations means more websites and references… more information.

That's why we started our site nudeinspain to help out nudist people visiting Spain. We've been gathering information about the REAL nude beaches in our sunny country. There are many so called nudist beaches, but it's so dissapointing getting all the way there to discover it's invaded by "textiles" and that the few nudists on the beach have to find secluded places to be away from sometimes disapproving glances… specially when most of the nude beaches are so difficult to find!

In each beach post in NudeInSpain.com we've added a map with the recommended place to park your car (the actual place where you drive to) and all necessary coordinate info, so it's up to you to find the place with the attached google map, or using your GPS device.

We also added info about the tides, -some beaches are much better during low tides- along with all available data on characteristics, weather prediction, safety and facilities. And also some Panoramio photos of the surrounding area, so you can see beforehand the beach you're going to visit.

Please make yourselves at home, browse around and leave a comment to say hello!
