Naked at Castlerigg stone circle in Cumbria

We were travelling around the north of England, when we camped in the Lake District for a few days. The opportunity was just too good to miss, and we managed to get a naked visit to the stone circle at Castlerigg, near Keswick, in Cumbria.
This was promptly followed by a naked hike along the stone walls above Lake Windermere. Gorgeous scenery and simply oozing context.

There is a fence around it , to prevent humans to touch the stone’s

Good idea, Liam. Naked visit to every ancient site in Britain, now that would be a challenge!
I was there many, many years ago but didn’t have the initiative to undress. One for the bucket list.
It was a really nice experience to firstly get back to Castlerigg stone circle again, and secondly to be naked there amongst those huuge stones, amidst the ring of lake district fells. Marvelous.
While you were enjoying Castlerigg, 36 of us were hiking naked around the Dry Hill iron age fort on the Kent / Surrey border. Looks like you got the best of the weather! And maybe even the views! Looks fab.
