You may think me immature
for speaking so,
but why should we wear
these clothes?
A shirt and tie
from years gone by.
What use, what purpose
do they serve?
Something once, I suppose.
Now listen, forgive my nerve
but I must propose!
It's time now to undress,
no need to be suppressed.
Shed these archaic articles.
Set free our-self,
wearing nothing should be the new fashion sense.
That's nice. I'm glad she was recognized as a supporter of Naturism.
Not for me the tight embrace,
unyielding suits, false marks of grace
nor yet the stifling, grasping hold
of fashions when in one's youth were old.
Not for me the tailor's chalk,
The cloth, the weave, the mindless talk
of benefits the work may bring
or other worthless, weary thing.
No, for me the gentle caress of air
The tender, tousled, tussled hair
of one who feels the Joys of Spring
The sheer delight that bluebells bring
The bliss, the thrill, of air on skin
the happiness and peace within
And in this list, I must include
The simple joy of being nude
Howard Anderson, 2010
Hey Howard, I like your poem, but you should probably create your own blog entry here: http://www.naktiv.net/blog/add/, and place a link to it here. (otherwise you kind of hi-jack Adam's blog replies).
Just FYI 🙂
Richard, I can see why Howard posted that. A nice contrast (and superior) poem, but yes… should try to avoid hijacking! I accidentally did the same recently, not again. 🙂
Fair enough, I am new here! Much of the trouble is the (slight) variation in the meaning of words, I had a picture of the word blog as meaning something a bit different. I shall look a bit harder.
Howard, the site is as new as you are, so we're all finding our feet.
No probs!
There's also a poetry group here: http://www.naktiv.net/nakedpoetry/
Which is not a push, just a reminder (to everyone).
Another one posted, this time in the poetry group.
