When nudity becomes the new normal

Originially posted on my blog nuetheureux.wordpress.com

The day you join a nudist resort, club or beach, you enter a new world of freedom and respect. However, there's something you may not know yet: nudity is about to become your new normal. Let me explain what I mean by new normal.

Becoming a nudist

A lot of first time nudists will eventually become lifetime nudists. Every nudist will talk about this wonderful feeling of freedom, as soon you understand nobody cares about how you look. Nudity becomes therefore an accepted state. Generally, this is when you start to stop thinking about being naked. You just are enjoying the moment, without clothes.

Of course, time will come when you need to get dressed again. A certain level of sadness will fill you, as you leave this wonderful state of freedom. Rapidly, if weather and security allow, you will feel the need to get naked again. This could be your home, your garden or any place that accepts your nudity.

After a couple of days or weeks, you will feel immensely better entirely naked than with any form of clothing, even light and small. This is the moment I call the new normal. Your nudity will feel natural, simple, a real no-brainer. Up to a point that you will feel the need to share this with your friends and family. This is also the moment when you will want to have some books on naturism to know more, to subscribe to the magazine of your local naturist federation and leave them on your coffee table, or to just ask your friends to join you in your naturist life.

The New Normal

And your new normal will be the beginning of a wonderful naturist life. Naturism is, IMHO, the most wonderful lifestyle. The levels of freedom, friendship and simplicity are just unmatched.

The only caveat is naturists are still a minority and nudism is not widely accepted. However, it's growing with movements like Free the Nipple or associations like APNEL, more and more people are exposed to non sexual nudity. It may need another century to be able to chose nudity as a possible clothing option, but I hope we will get there and the next generations can freely chose to be naked whenever and wherever they want.

Try nudism and you will discover a new world, where nudity will soon become your new normal.

  1. My nudity is so much my normal anymore that when I am out and have to be clothed that when I come home and walk in the door I remove my clothes as though it were a coat and hang them inside the door. Its an automatic response.

  2. This was exactly my experience! I was dumbfounded that there was a little countdown timer that had been installed in my brain. Every time I completed a freehike or nudist experience and got dressed again the clock would start counting to my next expected opportunity to do it again. I had no idea how the timer got there but I found I was watching it eagerly and got very fidgety if the clock went into negatives. Finally I realized that I had an opportunity every night I was passing up so at least the clock was never set longer than to the end of the day!

  3. Thank you for your post. You have described my personal experience almost exactly. With regard to the getting dressed again part; I used to think it was strange that when it was time to leave the beach I had such a strong desire to remain nude for as long as possible, I tend to walk as close to the parking lot as possible before putting on my shorts. Same thing when I hike. Thanks again.

    • Thx Steve for the comment. I now walk back to my car naked and drive naked back to my place. I had a couple of strange looks but most people do not care as the nude beach is nearby. As for hikes, I tend to leave the short soon and put it back as late as possible, sometimes leaving the house naked and getting back naked if I can park in a not so dense area.

  4. It is surprising how quickly I become unaware of omy nudity when I'm doing gardening, pool work. Using the barbeque is one time when I remember quickly. lol. I sometimes catch myself heading to the front yard without stopping to cover up.

  5. Naked is normal for our specie, same as for all other species. Being un-naked is being un-natural. Covering ourselves with furs or textiles is a lot of work and money. Covering ourselves is expensive, uncomfortable, unhealthy, ugly, and harmful to our environment. We are taught to hide our bodies out of shame and fear before we even know we are being taught. When we visit a nudist place we feel our natural state of being and the offense of ugly uncomfortable clothes become glaringly apparent.

I am encouraged that many more people and especially younger people are finding our real human nature. Our species is beginning to throw off the oppression we have suffered for so long.
