I was actually just elected President of my local naturist group, Triangle Area Naturist (TAN). I first became a naturist nearly 30 years ago, when I went to my first Nude Beach. I was stationed at the time in Orlando, Florida at the Naval Training Command, working as an Illustrator/Draftsman at the Base Audiovisual Services Activity Graphics shop. I had a lady I was dating ask me to take her to a clothing optional beach in the Canaveral National Seashores called Playalinda Beach. Having never experienced nude sunbathing, I was intrigued, but really thought I would be laying on my stomach all day with my head buried in the sand, so to speak. How refreshing to learn that being a social nudist is nothing like that at all. I have truly found that I can truly relax and enjoy the companionship of like minded naturist in a very healthy and social environment. I have actually introduced several women to the lifestyle over the years, and even though it is nothing they ever thought they would do, once they went with me, they found that it was very good for their own self-image and they absolutely enjoyed the experience.
